Join us for the first of four August Ives Series concerts for an afternoon of music centered around Emily Levin, the principal harpist of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and Jacob Shack, the 4th chair viola in the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. Having formed a duo upon meeting at Juilliard, they’ve performed at the Juilliard School and the Kosciuszko Foundation. On this concert, which marks Emily’s Ives Series debut and Jacobs’s second season, they’ll feature works by Renie, Caplet, Schubert and duo works by Ives Series associate artistic director, Jon Cziner, and Artistic Director, Paul Frucht. Also on the program will be a Debussy performance featuring the winner of the CMI Piano Competition, Emily Zagorec alongside Ives Series Artist-Faculty, Mika Sasaki.
