“Teaching has always been a passion of mine. My mission is to spread the joy of music to my students and their families for them to cherish for the rest of their lives.”

An experienced, third-generation teacher, Chelsea has a thriving private violin studio, and is on faculty at the Charles Ives Music Festival in Ridgefield, CT, Temple Emanu-El’s Nursery School, and the New York Philharmonic’s “Philharmonic Schools” program. Known around the tri-state area as “Miss Chelsea”, Chelsea strives to build well-rounded violinists and all-around musicians who are capable of playing with great technique and skill, and who enthusiastically build music into their everyday lives.

Chelsea’s students have gone on to be accepted into many high-level, conservatory programs, and have a life-long love for music. She teaches violin students of all abilities and ages.

Chelsea is an extraordinary teacher for young children. From the first lesson, my six-year-old son Paul has looked forward to each session with “Miss Chelsea” as the highlight of his week. In addition to being an extremely gifted violinist, Chelsea has a special ability to convey her love and passion for classical music to all her students. She also provides the perfect mix of teaching and entertainment during each lesson: she patiently provides detailed instruction on each aspect of violin technique, but also manages to always engage the attention of our extremely active child through the use of musical games and other carefully chosen activities and musical selections. We feel incredibly fortunate to have found a teacher as talented as Chelsea, and my younger son is already looking forward to taking lessons with her.

My experience taking lessons with Chelsea has been absolutely incredible. Her love of playing music and the dedication she has to her students is outstanding. She is an excellent teacher as well as an inspiring violinist and I feel lucky to be able to take lessons with her.

The day Audrey started violin lessons with Chelsea, her world grew ten sizes. Chelsea brings incredible positive energy to her students, which makes Audrey love and look forward to her lessons. She even wanted to add an extra violin lesson each week. Chelsea is quick to compliment and frames corrections in a happy light. She keeps the skill building moving forward at a speed that’s comfortable yet challenging. Lessons are fun, but Chelsea is still serious about form, rhythm, and sound. She’s a tremendously talented violinist in her own right and inspires her students with her own accomplishments and practice.
